World Energy Map : Dymaxion Projection

1946년 ‘대양의 지도, 하늘의 지도’로 유명한 버크민스터 풀러가 작업한 세계 에너지 지도입니다. 이 지도는 헤르베르트 바이어가 1953년에 출간한 World Geo-graphic Atlas에 수록되어 있으며, 대륙을 중심으로 세계를 펼쳐 그렸습니다. 지도 위의 붉은색은 대륙별 인구수를, 지도 외부의 검정색은 에너지 소비량을 나타냅니다. 당시 미국의 에너지 소비량을 표현한 것으로 2차 세계대전 이후 미국의 산업화가 폭발적으로 진행되고 있었음을 알 수 있습니다.
